About Leto Lama Fine Jewellery

Leto Lama is a third generation painter and a goldsmith with Greek - Tibetan heritage that lives in London. She creates 18 Ct Gold handmade jewellery with precious stones, using traditional techniques such as drawing, working directly on the metal by melting and recycling gold as well as the ancient lost wax method. In 2017,
Leto embarked on her jewellery-making journey after attending a metal smithing class in Switzerland out of curiosity. It was at that moment she discovered her passion for the craft, and the rest is history. Her profound appreciation for color, art, ancient history, gemstones, mythology, individuality, originality, and exceptional craftsmanship inspired her to create her distinctive collections.

Each jewellery piece is One - Of - A - Kind and meant to be cherished for generations.

Preserving traditional techniques, Leto incorporates various methods in crafting the jewellery collections. These include sketching the initial design on paper or directly on metal or wax, shaping them and casting them into an initial model. The piece is then meticulously soldered, cleaned, polished, and textured using hammers or other tools. Finally, the stones are set and the polish is completed.

Leto's London studio is where the enchantment unfolds, as she does every aspect of the jewelry-making - from creating the model to stone setting and polishing from start to finish. Only a select few designs are chosen to be transformed into finished pieces, resulting in a highly limited number of creations each year. This meticulous approach ensures that each piece is crafted with utmost care and attention to detail, making them truly unique and exclusive and a great addition to a jewellery collection.

Committed to sustainability, the entire collection utilises precious recycled metals by melting and repurposing gold scrap and also using responsibly sourced natural precious stones like Emeralds, Diamonds, Rubies, Sapphires, Paraiba Tourmalines. Some designs may also include semi-precious stones such as fine Tourmalines, Moonstones, Aquamarines, Opals and Tanzanite.
